Chinese Betrothal - a traditional custom

July 10, 2005 is the day of our bethrothal. Although we are already engaged, this is a formal occasion where the two families officially acknowledge the marriage and give their blessing.

Tim and his family will bring gifts such as cakes, Chinese dried goods and other items to Teresa's home. Teresa's family will be holding a small party and distribute the "double happiness cake" to relatives and friends as a form of announcement.

Our New Home!

After a whirlwind of house viewings, we finally purchased a townhome in Champlain Heights!

We just got possession of the house on June 4 and it's so exciting to have our place! We won't move into our place until after we're married but in the meantime, we need to do some painting and purchase furniture. See the pictures of our new place. We'll be updating with some more pictures after we renovate and furnish it.
